Prescription Drug Program
When you can't
afford your prescription medications, there is an established free medication prescriptions

denial letter sent to us within 90-days, applicants will receive a $3 refund.
If requested by the applicant, refunds can be used to enroll in our discount

applicants normally qualifying at the highest income limits are generally MS, AIDS,

concerning which medications are provided and which individuals are accepted
into the programs are made by the various program sponsors.

Prescription Medication?
FREE Prescription Medicine is
Available for those who Qualify.

Our goal is to help Americans get
their medications for free. For eight years we have assisted tens of thousands
of people across the nation to substantially reduce or completely eliminate
their prescription drug bills. The majority of our applicants have too many
resources to qualify for government prescription drug assistance programs, and
too little resources to pay retail rates for their medications. We charge a
one-time $5 fee per medication application. However, if the medication is not
available for free or if your application for free medication is denied for any
reason, you will receive a refund.

On occasions, some sponsors will make an exception on a case-by-case
basis or in extreme or extenuating circumstances. It never hurts to ask. One
thing you should know is that there is something more important than income
that sways drug companies in letting you qualify for their patient
assistance... Hardship! Even if you do not qualify financially, you may
still qualify for patient assistance program if you demonstrate financial
hardship. Some circumstance that might qualify you on the hardship issue

would like to apply, we will be diligent in our efforts
to assist you. You really have nothing to lose. We have seen many people who
would be considered "middle-class" status enrolled on the hardship basis.
Leading drug companies have pledged, “No patient in need of medicines
will do without them.”
A ccording to the Wall Street Journal, it's not
just poor people who qualify for free medicine. To qualify, applicants must show
they have no prescription insurance coverage; household income must be low
enough that paying for medicine would pose a hardship; and that they make to
much money to qualify for public assistance such as Medicaid. Individuals with
family incomes ranging from below the national poverty level up to $38,000, and
in some cases, families with annual incomes as high as $60,000 can receive free
drugs.
Free Medicine Foundation, a patient-advocacy organization, connects patients to
free or very low-cost prescription drug programs available to eliminate or
substantially reduce their prescription drug bills. Last year, over 7.6 million
Americans of all ages utilized what the Wall Street Journal calls the best-kept
secret in the drug business by taking advantage of
“patient assistance programs.” These
programs help those who otherwise cannot afford prescription drugs receive their
brand-name medications absolutely free. For a $5 fee per prescription, Lawson
Healthcare Foundation Foundation assists the applicant through the complicated
paperwork and application process.
As a part of their pledge that “no patient in need of medicines will do
without them,” over 160 leading drug companies including Pfizer,
Bristol-Myers Squibb, Eli Lilly, Wyeth-Ayerst, Searle and Merck now offer their
medications at no cost to patients. Pfizer currently donates more medicines to
patients than any other pharmaceutical company. Last year, Pfizer helped
approximately 1.4 million patients by providing 2.3 million prescriptions valued
at nearly $345 million. Brand-name drugs such as Lipitor©, Daypro©, Norvasc©,
Neurontin©, Zocor©, Viagra© Glucophage© and hundreds more are covered under
these assistance programs. Most all brand-name drugs are available for free to
those who qualify.
Caregivers, churches and social organizations are encouraged to utilize Lawson
Healthcare Foundation’s services. Volunteers are needed to help spread the word
to those who cannot afford the high costs of prescription medication. Send an
email to MedicalDiscounts@aol.com or call 1-888-380-6337 to request a free
supply of brochures mailed to you that are designed to provide the
patient/applicant with information and an application for this program.

Why do Pharmaceutical Companies Help Patients Get Their Medicines
for FREE?
As advocates for
patients seeking prescription medicine assistance, Medical Discounts
International
is committed to getting the word out and helping patients apply for free
medicine. Our organization puts people in touch with sponsors willing to
supply free medication. As cost of prescription medications continues to
increase, often making them unaffordable for people without insurance, the drug
manufacturers themselves are helping get their products to the people who need
them practically free of charge.
Pharmaceutical sponsors who have programs do so for various reasons. Some
believe that they have a corporate social obligation to help those who can't
afford their products. Others believe it's a good marketing tool. One free
medicine sponsor has stated, “many people who can't afford their medicines now
go on to obtain some type of prescription coverage. And when they get this
coverage, the pharmaceutical companies want the patient to remain on their
products.”
Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), an association and
lobbying group whose members include many of the larger pharmaceutical
manufacturers have pledged, “no patient in need of medicines will do without
them.” Also, this is made possible in part by the Federal Government, which
provides tax rebates to drug companies in the USA who provide free medications
through these programs. The New York Times says, "for patients, these
plans can be life-savers”.
