non-profit organization offers
individual, small group and seminar based marketing, advertising, strategic
planning, business development and organizational management consulting
services. BDEC is a sub-specialist in healthcare businesses. BDEC has worked
with hundreds of medical, dental and healthcare related clients over the years
including but not limited to health care professionals (most specialties),
hospitals (psychiatric, skilled nursing and general medical) out-patient
clinics, outpatient day treatment centers. BDEC also worked with restaurants,
service businesses, gyms, beauty shops, real estate services, politicians, small
businesses, automobile related companies, manufacturers, churches, non-profit
organizations, talented individuals, counseling centers and more.

1998-99 CEO/Board
Member
I reported
directly to the owner. I was responsible for corporate marketing, operations,
JCAHO accreditation, training, and strategic planning. HIA was a fifty million
dollar corporation with nearly a thousand employees, three hospitals, two
outpatient programs, and six Medicare day treatment programs located in
California and Florida.
California Healthcare Management Services (CHMS)
1987-98
Senior Vice President/Board Member
I reported
directly to the owner. I was responsible for strategic planning and marketing.
Additionally, I was the acting CEO for hospitals and skilled nursing facilities
for three to six months after they were acquired. CHMS was a hundred million
dollar business with several thousand employees.
Lawson Multi-Specialty Medical Group (LMMG)
1986-94
Founder/CEO/Owner
My wife, a
board certified family physician, and I started the business with one employee
and no patients. Eight years later, we sold LMMG. At the time of sale, the
business was a multi-million dollar enterprise with 5,000 active patients, ten
staff and four physicians.
Behavioral Mental Health Services (BMHS)
1982-87
Founder/CEO/Owner
Over five
years, BMHS became the largest independent psychiatric referral and information
program in the country. BMHS had a staff of 10. I sold the business to CHMS in
1987.
